Marc Lipp (b. 1962, North Babylon, New York) has been fueled by artistic instinct since childhood. Drawn early to drawing and painting, he discovered airbrushing as a teenager, transforming surfaces into vibrant works of art while earning his first income as a young creative entrepreneur. What began as experimentation quickly became a lifelong pursuit of technical mastery and visual storytelling.

Lipp furthered his formal education at the prestigious Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, where he immersed himself in fine art disciplines, studying composition, color theory, sculpture, and design. Though classically trained, he remained connected to the raw immediacy of airbrush culture. His career evolved organically from working street fairs and boardwalk events to establishing himself along the Jersey Shore and in Wildwood, New Jersey. There, he became known for custom graphics on bikes, choppers, and automobiles, eventually expanding into large-scale murals that demanded both artistic vision and technical precision.

In 2004, Lipp relocated to South Florida, embracing a new chapter creatively and personally. The vibrant light, color, and culture of the region inspired him to push beyond commercial work and deepen his presence in fine art. He began developing his celebrated painted and lacquered bronze dog sculptures, pieces that merge traditional sculptural technique with bold contemporary surface treatments. These works reflect his fascination with personality, loyalty, and pop culture symbolism, transforming a timeless medium into something playful, modern, and collectible.

Today, Lipp’s work extends powerfully into mixed-media graffiti paintings on canvas and metal. Blending classical draftsmanship with street art influences, layered textures, metallic finishes, and urban iconography.  He creates pieces that feel immediate and culturally relevant and captures the pulse of the moment, often drawing inspiration from headlines, social movements, political climates, pop culture, and global events. By fusing refined technique with raw expression, Lipp bridges the gap between studio art and the street, tradition and rebellion, permanence and urgency.

Artist Statement

“Art has always been the central force in my life—it’s how I process the world around me. My work today is deeply influenced by current events, social change, and the cultural conversations happening in real time. When I paint, I’m not just creating an image, I’m responding to a moment.
I’m inspired by what’s happening in the streets, in the media, and in everyday life. Graffiti and mixed media allow me to layer emotion, symbolism, and commentary into each piece. I want my work to reflect the energy of the present, sometimes bold and loud, sometimes reflective and questioning.
At the same time, no matter the subject, my goal remains the same: to create something authentic and personal. Whether it’s a sculpture, mural, or painting, I want the viewer or collector to feel connected to the work, as if it speaks directly to them. Art should not only be seen; it should be felt. It should spark thought, conversation, and emotion. That’s what drives me every day in the studio.”

Marc Lipp continues to evolve as an artist, creating works that balance technical mastery with cultural commentary, capturing both timeless craftsmanship and the spirit of the now.
