Adriana Naveh was born in Mendoza, Argentina in 1963 and moved to Israel when she was 20 years old.   Before leaving Argentina, she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts at the De Cuyo University.  When she moved to Israel, she furthered her art studies at the Avni Institute of Art and Design in Tel Aviv and then studied Interior Design at Ort Career Institute.  Adriana worked teaching drawing at the Amamit University in Jerusalem as well as the Yad Lebanim Museum in Petach Tikva.  She later studied under the Artist Ian Rachwerger and then worked as an artist in the studio of the artist Calman Shemi.  She has been a professional painter for over 20 years.

Today Adriana lives in Jerusalem and works in her own private studio.  Over the last several years, Naveh’s work is focused mainly on colorful, abstract urban landscapes.  Her newest technique is painting on aluminum panels, covered by many layers of lacquer giving the work a brightness and illumination that results in a fresh contemporary style.

Adriana is fascinated by urban architecture, as reflected in her work.  It is tightly related to herself being an immigrant, and to her persistent quest to explore the interior place of man in his environment.  She says, “The colorful paints in my work speak together with the coldness of the aluminum, creating an aura of an urban dynamics. It is like depicting calm chaos – a mixture of freedom and order.”

Adriana Naveh’s graceful, elegant creations can be found in galleries in Israel and around the world, as well as worldwide exhibitions.  Exclusive collections featured at Blue Gallery.
